Linda Stewart - President CEO & Founder of EPOCH

Interim executive engagements can help solve critical business and personnel issues facing companies today – such as the need to achieve greater speed and flexibility and faster times-to-market in instances of acquisitions, mergers, or regional or global expansion. The deployment of interim engagement style work for executives – to address the need for “workshifting” – can help companies increase their business agility, by offering talented, experienced senior executives who simply would not be available to companies any other way. Linda Stewart and her partners who founded EPOCH are dedicated to helping organizations leverage the benefits of interim executive engagements. Workshifter is a blog that chronicles the shift toward this new way for top-level executives to work on an interim or project basis on key strategic assignments that increase business agility. Focusing on the financial services industry, EPOCH provides companies with access to a network of C-level executives for engagements that require their deep, valuable and relevant expertise.

As President, CEO & Founder of EPOCH, Stewart is an accomplished senior executive with international experience in both Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial ventures. Prior to EPOCH, Ms. Stewart held executive leadership roles across sectors as diverse as financial services, technology and workforce development. Her career has focused on helping companies to maximize delivery of critical business services to increase market share, build revenues and enhance the value of the customer experience.

Her previous positions include EVP and acting COO of Veritude, a national recruiting, staffing and talent management organization owned by Fidelity, where she grew both revenue and contribution margins by more than 30 percent in the first year and more than 20 percent each of the two subsequent years. Before that, she served as president of ActionsXchange and held key senior executive positions at National Charitable Services, BostonCoach and Fidelity Investments. Prior to joining Fidelity, she held VP positions at both The Boston Company and at Boston Financial Data Services.

Ms. Stewart began her career in New York with the accounting firm of KPMG and also at Time, Inc. She is trained and licensed as a certified public accountant, and is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
